Meet Our Staff

Front Desk Associate

Brittany moved from Florida in 2021 with her husband and their German Shepard, Gunner. She really enjoys working with people and getting to know them more. You will find her up at the front desk greeting our patients. She has loved seeing the WI seasons change but her favorite season in one that doesn’t include snow! She is loving the Madison area while exploring new places to eat and visit.

Dawn has been working in the dental field for almost 30 years. She started as a Dental Assistant and currently works as a Front Desk Associate. When she isn’t working, she is out walking, reading, or spending time with family and friends. She resides in Columbus with her husband and two sons.

Pa joined Prairie Lakes Dental in 2021. After living in Alaska for a few years, she recently moved back to Wisconsin. She has been in the dental field since 2014 as a Receptionist. Outside of the office Pa enjoys cooking Asian food and spending time with her friends and family.

Shelley started with our Columbus Family Dental team in 2011, then transferred to the Prairie Lakes Dental location in 2014. Before that, she was a long time patient at Columbus Family Dental. She takes great pride in her work and really enjoys helping and getting to know all of our patients that come to the practice. 

Dental Hygienist

Becky has been a dental hygienist since 2001. She enjoys the relationships she makes with her patients. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising and watching sports.

Dental Assistant

Amber graduated from Madison College’s Dental Assistant program in 2015, and joined Columbus Family Dental/ Prairie Lakes Dental in 2020. She loves helping people become happy with their smiles and making them comfortable with being at the dentist. In her free time, she loves spending time with family and friends, watching movies, baking and doing crafts.

Claire is currently on the wait list to further her dental career as a Dental Hygienist. For now, she is working with us as a Dental Assistant until the time comes for her to go to school. Outside of the office she loves traveling, shopping, doing anything outdoors. She also likes spending time with her boyfriend, family, friends and her dog.

Emily has been working as a dental assistant with Columbus Family Dental/Prairie Lakes Dental since 2010. Emily looks forward to the variety that each day brings, and she can’t wait to help you find the smile that you’ve been waiting for. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and 2 dogs.

Gracie grew up in Madison and attended Madison East High School. She completed the Dental Assistant Program at Madison Area Technical College in 2015. Her favorite parts about her job are building relationships with patients and learning something new every day. When she is not working, she enjoys hanging out with friends and spending time with her dog, Keva.

Jessica joined Columbus Family Dental in 2012. She worked at the Rio location before the merge with Columbus Family Dental. Jessica is very devoted and family oriented.

Kayli joined the team of Columbus Family Dental/ Prairie Lakes Dental in 2020. She has been in the dental field for a number of years. She enjoys helping patients understand their treatment needs and helping them achieve their perfect smile. In her spare time, she stays active with her son, Liam, and spending time with her family and friends.

Karissa graduated from the Dental Assisting program at MATC in the spring of 2021. She completed her clinicals at Columbus Family Dental and started working with us since then. She enjoys the variety dental assisting brings and seeing patients so happy with their new smiles. In her free time you can find her working on vehicles, remodeling and building new projects. She has 2 kittens; Roxy and Reba.

McKenna has been with Prairie Lakes Dental since 2019. She is currently on the wait list to further her dental career as a Dental Hygienist. Until that time comes for her to go hygiene school you will find her helping out as a hygiene assistant and much, much more throughout the office. She enjoys meeting new patients and making them feel comfortable. McKenna also enjoys boating, hiking and hanging out with her family and friends.

McKenzye graduated from Columbus High School and is applying to schools for dental hygiene. Until she gets into school she is getting experience in the dental field as a Dental Assistant. When she is not working she enjoys playing volleyball, hiking and playing with her animals.

I always knew I wanted a career in the dental field. It’s always something different every day. When I’m not at work, I enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors in the summer.

Shauna grew up in the Madison area. She joined the Prairie Lakes Dental team in 2022. Her favorite part about being a Dental Assistant is getting to learn something new every day. Outside of work, Shauna stays busy with her daughter, family, friends, and pets. She loves spending time outdoors, DIY projects, baking, and crafting.

Shelby grew up in Monona. She joined our team in 2023. Shelby is passionate about helping others and looks forward to assisting you in perfecting your smile. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time outside, bowling, and being with friends and family.
